Yes we all know it's stupid and impractical hopping fences and what not but who thought you could be fined and possibly jailed for wearing your trousers too low...rights anyone? At the moment it's only been passed in Flint USA but tell me what kind of cunt passes this as a law.

Oysters cooked again
25 Jul 2008 by Pikl57
Here [pcpro.co.uk] is coverage of the second crash of London's Oyster card billing system in two weeks. Transport for London was forced to open the gates and allow free travel for all.

"There is currently a technical problem with Oyster readers at London Underground stations which is affecting Oyster pay as you go cards only," explains the TfL website. This follows the first crash two weeks ago, which left 65,000 Oyster cards permanently corrupted. Speculation is increasing that the crashes may be related to the hacking of the Oyster card system by Dutch researchers from Radboud University, though TfL denies any link. Plans to publish details of the hack were briefly halted when the makers of the chip used in the system sued the group, although a judge ruled earlier this week that the researchers could go ahead. During the court action, details briefly leaked on website Wikileaks.

DPM: EXHIBIT A
24 Jul 2008 by GW

DPM: EXHIBIT A is an evening exhibition which explores societies differing opinions on street art: Art or vandalism, creative expression or destruction of private property? The irony, however, is that although museums and galleries are celebrating street art, its provocateurs are still being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Five members of the UK DPM graffiti crew have been convicted and sentenced for criminal damage and the first time in the history of graffiti culture, on a charge of conspiracy to criminal damage. On the same day of their sentencing in London, England on July 11th, the Tate Modern is exhibiting the first public museum display of acclaimed street art.

On Monday, August 4th Anonymous Gallery will showcase enlarged photographs of artwork produced by convicted members of DPM, along with copies of the charges held against them. The photographs will be available for sale in editions of 50. Proceeds will go to the artists and to their families.
